Years of teaching experience: 5

I hold a master’s in Russian philology from the University of Silesia, where I specialised in translation. I wrote my dissertation in the field of linguistics, which is why languages and their grammar are especially close to my heart. I’ve got five years of teaching experience, and I’ve been working at our school for the past three. I’ve a particular soft spot for Polish grammar, and I always try to show that even tricky points can be explained in a simple, engaging way. What I value most in my work is an individual approach — I know that everyone learns at their own pace and has different needs. It also matters a great deal to me that my students feel at ease during lessons and aren’t afraid to make mistakes.
When I’m not working, you’ll most often find me with a book, out on my rollerblades or settled in front of a good crime series. I mostly read fantasy — I’ve been a huge fan of the genre for years. I’ve been rollerblading since I was five, so sport has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve also got a cat, who has taught me rather effectively that there’s a great deal to learn about the feline character — which is how I got interested in animal behaviour. I love travelling, discovering new places and cultures, and simply staying curious about the world. So after work, I try to make time both for staying active and for the little pleasures that let me relax and recharge my batteries.
