I completed a degree in Journalism and Social Communication at the University of Szczecin (bachelor’s). I’m currently in my second year of a master’s in Polish philology at the same university. On top of that, I spent over four years as a journalist at the newspaper Kurier Szczeciński and as a researcher in the newsroom at TVN24, which helped me polish my Polish to perfection.
I’ve been teaching Polish for over five years now (since 2021). At first these were in-person lessons, and later online, on the international e-learning platform LiveXP. Dozens of my students have gone all the way from learning the alphabet to speaking Polish confidently, at a near-native level — and the exams they’ve passed only confirm how far they’ve come. Students come to me for a specific result — and that’s exactly what they leave our lessons with. On top of that, I love working with children and teenagers. There’s something wonderful about being a mentor and a source of support — someone who will always talk through the homework and help you battle through Polish grammar.
Beyond teaching, I’m a musician: I play the piano professionally and I’m learning the guitar. I’m passionate about Polish philology and literature, and in my spare time I enjoy reading in Polish, especially local authors (which is what led me to my studies in the first place). I love animals and travelling. I have a wonderful little cat, and I’m slowly making my way around the more far-flung corners of Europe. I’ve also recently taken up sport — something my own students inspired me to do.
